Carter Bridge Murals
Client
Cambridge City Council
Purpose
To signpost the journey to, and celebrate the identity of, the Mill Road area in Cambridge by painting both sides of a cycle and pedestrian bridge which leads to and from the train station.
Commissioned by Cambridge City Council to work with the community to inspire two murals for Carter Bridge celebrating the Mill Road area. 90 members of the local community worked with us to develop and deliver two public realm murals that tell a story of community cohesion, independence, diversity, nature, resilience and hope. With over 40 people helping with the painting of the murals over a two week period, this project is a real testament to collaboration and community building through public realm art.
