Purpose / Values
Celebrating the rich and diverse musical legacy of Croydon through a large mural, part of the Croydon musical heritage trail.
Our process
Analysis of the public consultation, followed by a series of workshops and targeted consultation sessions with key stakeholders from Croydon Council and leading figures from the borough’s music community.
"We worked with ATMA in 2023 as part of our London Borough of Culture programme, This is Croydon. He delivered a fantastic new mural in The Queen’s Gardens which celebrates the borough’s rich music history. ATMA worked with feedback from the public as to who should be represented in the work and had to work across multiple Council depts. and stakeholders to realise the artwork in a previously under loved corner of a local park. The finished piece is a fantastic reflection of the borough – it’s communities and urban landscape as well as our famous musicians and music moments. It’s elegant in execution and a joyous colourful chronology of an important history, something that we are all very proud of."
